My 67-year-old sister says Obama is gonna' come get our guns, money, property, and anything else of value so he can give it to the terrorists, communists, and unemployed deadbeats, along with the illegal immigrants and homeless people who elected him. We are all doomed. Brave patriots such as Rush, Palin, and the Fox News crew are our only hope to get the word out before it's too late.

5. Since November, relations with my mother and sister have come to a halt.
I can no longer deal with their ignorant selfish beings. It is sad to know that I am related to people who are part of the problem and not working with the President to solve this nation's problems. They spit the word Liberal and cling to their bank accounts as a child would a blanket. They have let *'s fear mongering eat out their hearts. I have had more than my share. I feel your pain. Peace, Kim

7. I have found the opposite.
My grandfather said, during the primaries, "If Obama is elected, hide your guns and all your money will be taken for taxes." Since his inauguration my grandfather has said he is impressed and thinks he is making good decisions.

A conservative client of mine saw my stickers and asked me if I was happy with our new president. I said "oh yeah." He surprised me. He said, "Regardless of what you thought of him as a candidate, he is our president now, and I don't want him to fail. If he fails, I fail. We are America, we have nothing to be afraid of. I think he wants to do good. He has his hands full, but seems to be approaching it right"

13. my brother.
He is a "conservative libertarian"(his words). He voted a straight GOPuke ticket in November and wrote in Ron Paul's name for President. After the election he bought a sweatshirt with the phrase: "01-20-09 The Obama Error Begins", to counteract my "End of an Error" shirt. I try to avoid discussing politics with him; it just gets too heated.

14. Oh yeah. My 85 y.o. uncle
I'm sorry I showed him how to send e-mail because I got one a day like this all the way from Jan 1 to last weekend when I finally told him to take me off his list and not send me any more of these bullshit whiney rants. Now he's put my wife on the list instead of me and she's way to polite to tell him to go fuck himself. He's enjoyed a comfortable life as a government contractor but now misses no opportunity to trash the government in the most vile terms imaginable. Thank god he lives in Tennessee so we don't have to put up with his crap at holiday dinners. Claims he's a "libertarian" and hates all politician but funny thing we never got this kind of response from him bitching about the president for the entire 8 years of the * clusterfuck.

16. YES! I knew they were a really screwed up people, but this has driven them all over the edge
I've lost "friendships" with Republicans. Now I've never been close friends with any Repugs (ergo the quotes), but since Obama won, the Repugs I talked with hate me because I worked tirelessly on his campaign. They cannot forgive me.

A couple sent some disgusting jokes. One sent a joke about a gorilla in the White House and I told her she was an imbecile.

18. It's all a matter of perspective. When THEY were in power...
...we all displayed equal hysterics, running around circles about BushCo shredding the constitution, building secret prisons to lock up decenters, stacking the courts and the administration with right-wing ideologs.

Oh, wait...so those things actually happened?

So is it any wonder that they project upon us their own fears? They know how badly their "leaders" can act. Now that they no longer have any power, all they have to do is fear. Nothing to fear but fear itself? SIGN 'EM UP! Fear is what Republicans thrive on.

"embracing failure as hope" hmmmm, I believe that is called transference...

And if you are an Ayn Rand greed is good believer, good luck with that. Pure capitalism could never work precisely because of greed which people like you worship like a God. I find Ayn Rand ideologues to be generally bereft of any sense of decency and you don't have your feet firmly planted in the real world.

46. I don't have any relatives that stupid but I certainly
have lots of neighbors like that. There's a bunch of us neighborhood guys meet every morning at the coffee shop. Out of about ten there are only three Democrats at best. It's comical to me every morning without even watching Faux News, O'liely, Hannity or Dobbs I know what they all talked about the night before or what the latest NRA issue said. One morning Obama is going to take all your guns and make a box of bullets cost $100. The next Obama is going to raise our taxes and give it all to to welfare bums (they mean blacks when they talk welfare). The next day the whole financial mess was all caused by Barry Frank. The next Obama is going to let the gays run the military. This morning it was the money they are going to spend on the Whitehouse lawn and other pork. It's no use even trying to argue with them they heard it on Faux it has to be fact.
