Would "Blago!" make a better musical or movie?
I think both would work, but a musical would be "Garfield without Garfield" hilarious.

You can never get those blasted things in tune.

22. Here is your title song!
Sung to the tune of "If I Only Had A Brain" (the Scarecrow's song) from the Wizard of Oz
(new text by yours truly):

A.
When Blagojevich comes calling, though his manners are appalling
I still could be in luck
That new law, I could pen it as a member of the Senate
If I only had a buck.

A.
While Obama was resigning, the governor was whining
His finances were stuck
I could be making progress, and be on my way to Congress
If I only had a buck!

B.
Hey Rod? We think it’s odd: a Senate seat for sale
We think the tactic seems a little stale
If it comes out
You’ll go to jail!

A.
At first I thought, “he’s kidding,” until he had me bidding
And that was when it struck
He really, truly meant it: I could join the U S Senate
If I only had a buck!
