Proposing a new word: "Obama'd"...
I'm starting this thread per a suggestion here.

Obama'd, adverb.

To make a person's point seem valuable when it is in fact not, and then expose that person when they reveal their true intent, using the goodwill gained from a willingness to compromise with that person against them when needed most.

To obtain victory over an individual by leading them to focus on a singular goal that may be superficial, while operating behind the scenes on another level to ensure victory in the long term.

Example:

President Obama met with Republican leaders after taking office, seeking compromises to ensure passage of an important stimulus bill. After a week of the President offering compromises that House Republicans asked for in return for voting for the bill's passage, they still voted unanimously against it. Most of the public has seen footage of President Obama extending an olive branch to Republicans in order to get them to agree to help America and stop the next Great Depression. In the end the Republicans threw that olive branch back in the President's face. Obama already had the votes necessary to pass the bill regardless, and indeed the bill passed anyway. But now everyone will remember how Obama reached across the aisle while the Republicans lied about their intent.

When the next important bill comes up, President Obama can approach the public at the first sign of Republican dissent, and remind them of his bipartisanship. As a result, the Republicans got Obama'd.

2. Oh, did I forget to include...
That when Obama'd, the victims are to stupid to realize they've been had?

Oh, I'm sure those from the Palin Patrol are watching, but they probably, even after reading this response, still don't get it.

To them it's all a mash of words and sounds, "Blugh, durgh, meeeingh, gachk, meeineeoni, duugghhhrgh".

4. Nope, if they didn't hear and see it in the election, when he did it over and over again,
they wouldn't hear it now if we shouted it from the rooftops and you know why? They weren't and aren't listening.

3. Yup,
we all saw him do it over and over again in the primaries and again in the general election and I don't think he changed his style on Jan 20th.

Poor, poor. pitiful Repigs, playing checkers with a master chess player, they are!

5. Leave the Rushicans
Rush says he wants Obama to fail and Gingrey calls him, bends over, holds his ankles and apologizes.
i.e. They are all Rushicans - they want Obama to fail. Rush is in charge of the Rushicans.

6. I like the term.
It says a little more than the closet thing we had prior to it, "pwned."

8. Love it, but maybe we could spell it "Obama3d,"
on the pattern of
"pwn3d." This spelling would give us a helpful suffix and carry the same deep level of snark as "pwn3d" while avoiding the clearly undesirable, unworkable "Obamaed," and

11. K&R....Funny thing is, if the Republican'ts had just played it straight they might
have gotten some stuff they really wanted in that bill instead of banning condoms and some other ideological nonsense they did "get".

They were trying to show the world how tough and 'conservative' they are and wound up being exposed for the complete incompetents they have been all along.

And to quote another post on the original thread, they have been bundled up with Rush now.

The question will now be "IS Rush Limbaugh the leader of the Republican Party??"

Barack Hussein Obama could be the most complete politician since Niccolò di Bernardo dei Machiavelli.

They are idealogues, he is a pragmatist with a competitive streak as wide as it can be.

They're toast.

And I just love him.
