Florida-based Military Distributor lands $5 billion DOD contract

'Source One Distributors, a Wellington supplier of military equipment, said Monday it has secured a federal contract worth $5.7 billion over five years.

Source One, founded by Marine veteran Mark Llano, will provide personal protection and tactical gear, eyewear, diving equipment, communication devices, life-saving search-and-rescue gear and other products for the U.S. Department of Defense.

The company expects to double its 20-employee staff to handle the new business, said Randy Webb, chief operating officer. The firm needs program managers, purchasing and accounting personnel, and administrative and clerical employees.'
