My daughter just got a $4000 renewable 4 year scholarship

from the school of Engineering.

She is graduating High School one full year early and is carrying a 3.8 GPA (Algebra 2 lowered it)

She went to a competition day where she was assigned a team and they had to solve a problem as a team with pictures, written plans ect...

she got notice of her scholarship today.

Dad and Mom are proud of her!!!

7. Hmm..
my wife just complained that she went to buy yarn for a sweater and it would have come to $200 for the yarn alone. I guess it depends on what you are buying.

Are you replying to someone else? Because your post is just irrational here.

But, if your name ................ well, never mind.

12. Congratulations!
I think the US government should give zero-interest loans, repayable over 15 years after graduation, to American students that will be majoring in mathematics, science, and engineering.

14. With a GPA of 3.8 and the drive required to graduate high school in 3 years,
your daughter will probably be offered more scholarship monies. Congratulations!

23. my son is a freshman at UVM
just before we applied for FAFSA, I thought to myself "hmmm, maybe I better pay off my student loan!" I graduated college in 1982. I just finished paying SallieMae off last year!!! i deferred a number of times over the life of the loan for one reason or another, no job, babies, etc.

15. Good for her!
I am always happy when I see women going into the math and sciences fields. We need more women engineers. I hope this scholarship makes it easier to finance her college education.

24. Bravo. But in this economy I'd encourage her to defer for a year if possible
and have fun her senior year. I'd be in no hurry to rush through school for the current job market.

26. Heh. She is a smart girl :) Well give her our best and tell her grad
school is fun. I had my company paying when I went, but I'm sure those days are over. Hopefully she'll get through with the help of scholarships and teaching stipends.
