- 1/20/09 Obama is not president because Roberts flubbed administering the Oath

- 1/21/09 to cover bases, Obama, takes the Oath again, but blusterheads say it's not valid because there was no bible present

- 1/22/09 blusterheads say orders signed on 1/20/09 by Obama are not valid because the Oath taken on that day was not valid, therefore Obama wasn't President.

Coming soon to a rabid-source: Obama is not eligible to run in 2012 because he took the oath twice and is now in his 2nd term.

I had to go to the production floor this morning to take photos of some equipment being shipped... overheard two guys discussing the Obama oath issue, one of them actually said that since he took the oath twice he's not eligible to run in 2012....

There's absolutely no legal leg for them to stand on - previous presidents have taken the oath in different ways - twice before, there've been oath redos, there've also been Presidents who just say "I do" instead of repeating the oath word-for-word, and yes, there have been Presidents who didn't put their hand on a bible. And there's nothing in the Constitution that requires a hand on a bible. Toss in the 20th Amendment argument, and the oathers will be shot down in 20 different ways.

The oathers are just wasting their energy. And I'm fine with that - any energy they put into futile crap like this is energy they're not spending productively.
