Poll question: 2012 watch
Two days into the new administration and it already seems like Obama's a shoo-in for 2012 when you look at the GOP's candidates. Which do you think would make the most entertaining train wreck to watch?

My pick is Sarah Palin 2: Electric Boogaloo.

1. Romney is the smart bet
I don't think the GOP is really ready to put Jindal on the top of the ticket.

Romney is perfect. Moving cardboard cutout. No risk of going off script. Looks like money and is. Plus he can be trusted-Palin is too much of a loose cannon, no real DC ties...net yet anyway

4. Actually, I don't think they like him that much.
He belongs to a cult, remember?

7. Yeah there is that but the Mormons paid for Prop 8 in California
and the Republicans will take any wild religious money-Rev.Moon is a big benefactor to them

3. Sarah already had 20 or 30 T-shirts made up, right? That should be enough.

But I think they should just bite the bullet and put Rick Warren up there. He already knows his way around that inogerashun platform thingie.

9. Other: Huckabee
Edited on Fri Jan-23-09 01:45 AM by Idealism
Riding through towns at the front of an all-white crowd, this minister will be the GOPs Moses. Waving the Fair-Tax banner, corporatists will fall in line and the donor money will flow to stop the "sochalist" Obama. In an odd turn of events, Huckabee will abandon his bid for President half way through the primaries, citing a need to retain his meaningful job, hosting a hit show on FOX.

13. I don't see anyone has having much chance for the GOP, barring a great screw up
Huckabee appeals too much to the base, as does Palin. Romney has the broadest appeal of them all, but he is so tainted by his past, and the base isn't too fond of him it seems. The party is simply not ready for Jindal, nor do I think they will be in the foreseeable future. Thank the southern strategy, because not only do the GOP not like "black" people, they also don't like "brown" people.

14. The GOP leaders must be looking at minority demographics in the South
and wondering if they can still get in as Amway salesmen. :)

16. Palin would be the most entertaining.
I don't know if the Republicans can regroup quick enough to even have a chance at winning in 2012. Look for Jebbie to give it a shot in 2016 but Jindal will probably be their guy and he'll probably win. But we're getting waaaaaaay ahead of ourselves here.

17. I like John Boehner... only because I would like to see people mispronounce his name.
It would be a great train wreck to see Rush, the Manatee, or Orally mispronounce his name just ONCE!
