I'm one of the ones that was holding my breath until the minute der Chimpenfurher left the White House. I had my tinfoil hat firmly in place and fully expected a declaration of Martial Law to prevent Obama from taking office. This is one time that I'm proud to admit I was wrong, and I breathed a HUGE sigh of relief when Obama was sworn in.

Now is the time to start moving forward, while at the same time remembering the crimes & treason of the Bush/Cheney years. We must remain vigilant in our quest to get President Obama to prosecute these criminals, which should be easier given the absence of pardons issued by Bush.

Here's looking forward to the next 4 years...

1. My husband said the same thing this morning.

He was sure bush would pull some martial law stunt at the last minute and keep Obama from assuming his rightful place in the Oval Office that he earned fair, square, legitimately and cleanly. He, too, said he was glad he was wrong.

After all, an administration that did nothing to prevent the 9/11 attacks, invaded a country that was no threat to us, and authorized torture would certainly be capable of declaring martial law.

6. When that 3rd carrier task force went to the Persian Gulf, I was wondering.

Seems to me that this past administration's crimes were significantly greater than misdemeanors against the Constitution. Perhaps even capitol crimes. It makes me wonder if there wasn't some deep "quid pro quo" made with the Democrats to thwart a Constitutional crisis. We'll probably never know.
