Mike Malloy was, for a few minutes, unable to continue his program tonight.
He had been commenting on this story and video at http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2009/1/16/145932/668/542/684934 , mentioned Molly, and broke down crying, "How can they DO that?" and then cut the feed and the producer cued in an early commercial break. Well, I was tearing up as well, so maybe the quote is a bit off. He feels and shares the most basic truths and gets to the real heart of things. He always reminds us, by example, that we are a human family, like it or not, and those who do not feel the death of another's child at least a bit as they would feel about the death of their own, well, they are lacking something that makes us human.

Thank you, Mike.

2. Yes, that is the saddest story on earth right now.
You know, that doctor delivered so many
babies in Israel... and now...

4. And peace was just an idea that some of us had
I really want peace. I want an end to this misery.

March 2003 till now. Murder, massacre, retaliation to the murderers, more massacre, more retaliation.

Please let peace return to the homes of every one in that region.

6. Just hearing this now on the replay
I can't possibly say anything better than how Mike said it. Except (to use one of his catch phrases).... "Have I mentioned tonight how much I HATE these people?" These IDF bastards. These Bush Crime Family pieces of shit. Anybody who does this to children, or any civilians, and tries to justify their mass murder by calling the victims "terrorists".

It cannot be tolerated. There is NO goddamn justification. Not in this world, and not in the next, should such a place exist. And I truly hope it does, because if anyone deserved eternity in flames of Hell, it's these child murdering pigfuckers. :grr:

10. I couldn't have said it better, Sebastian.

The Israeli-government apologists need to seriously look within, and stop trying to defend the indefensible.

Thank you, Mike.

9. Yeah, he's a purist all right
I was lucky I got to meet him when he and Scott Ritter did a presentation in Phoenix last February. In person, he's the warmest, friendliest person you'd ever want to meet.

22. Not to diss any of the others, but for me Mike is the most passionately compassionate and caring
radio host I have ever heard. He has that very rare ability to communicate his feelings so that the listeners can experience them. He uses his voice like great musicians use their instruments, but it is his caring that gives that voice such conviction.

He was just overacting.

How/why we still fund and aid these murderous cocksuckers is beyond belief or sanity.

20. TO #9.. IWILLNEVER, I HAVE ONE BETTER!
Mike was in Sacramento a few years ago (04?) for a panel to impeach this miserable moron thats leaving. I was sitting outside near front door waiting to go in (I was there early to get a good seat) and this other dude was across the enternce near the door like I was. About 40-minutes before it started Mike walks up to front door. I instantly recognized him and said hello and shook his hand. The dude sitting across did not have a ticket to get in or the $10 to purchase a ticket. Mike told him, "hold on , I'll be right back". He went inside the theater to put his briefcase away, and let David Swanson (moderated panel) know he was there. A staff person opened the door for Mike as he came back outside, he reached into his pocket, and gave the dude across from me $10 so he could buy a ticket for the forum.

I kid you not!

Now how's that for a progressive talk-show host?

:applause:

25. heard it on my iPod in a rather surreal manner...
walking through a Homes Plus (Korean version of 'Big Box Store') in Seoul, sales women dressed in traditional Joseon garb selling for Lunar New Years, through the beverage section, on the loud speaker plays a Korean-Arabesque warbling pansori, Mike speaks of Molly, little toddler girls run through the aisle laughing, Mike chokes up, everyone leaves my soft drink aisle, i stare through bottles distorting light, the bumper song sings "Try Not to Cry Little One, You're Not Alone, I'll Stand By You" (often a devotional song as God's reply to the suffering) and reaches a harmonic with the store music as it goes into a lengthy vocal tremolo like a cross between an Islamic call to prayer and a Buddhist chant to release and flow with the world's impermanence and suffering, i hear a child cry in the distance of the store, then children's laughter again, and fade...

then i walk into the tissue aisle to go finish buying my groceries. rather powerful in its synchronicity.
