What the job figures don't include is all the people entering the job
stream...
On average, about 100k people enter the job market each and every month. they aren't included in the job figures because there is o clear cut way to measure those individuals.
So really, the 2.6 million jobs lost in 2008 is really 1.2 million short.
That is one reason why some of the talking heads are reporting that the real figure could be 9-10% already.
