More Orwellian than Orwell

"We support the goals, objectives and the text of the resolution," Sean McCormack, US State Dept Spokesman referring to a UN cease-fire resolution regarding Gaza that was practically written by SecState Rice, at a press conference the day after the US did not vote for the resolution.

Mr McCormack continued to insist there was a solid line of reasoning and logic behind this action and that he couldn't be responsible for other people's *interpretations* if they saw the lack of a vote in favor of the resolution as a lack of support for the resolution.

And yes, I'm sober. Honest. T'was on the C-SPAN.
