WARNING: I just received an enail saying I had changed my Amazon
email address, and if I hadn't requested this change please contact us at this link. OBVIOUSLY I hadn't requested an change, but I know better than to clink on a link like that, so I checked the properties of the email to see if I could determine their deceipt, and so I did! The email link came from [email protected]. Clever because it's very easy for your eyes to actually see an "N" for an "M" when you expect to see the "N" in a familiar name.

Just wanted to let all of you know some thieves are at it again!!!!

1. thank you!
Thanks for the warning!

When I've been worried in the past that I've accidentally done something stupid, I've used McAfee's free scan:

http://home.mcafee.com/Downloads/FreeScan.aspx

And when I say "in the past," the last time I did it was, um, yesterday. It took quite a while to run (longer than the previous times I've used it, anyway) but when it came up empty-handed I felt better. We've got anti-virus software but I wanted to know, rather than hope, that no virus had snuck in, and I didn't know any other way to confirm it other than to do a scan. (I'm Amish when it comes to computers.)

2. I got one from youtube like that also.
I don't click on links, but went to youtube by typing it in and voila, no problem. Not sure why someone cares enough about youtube account passwords to scam that, unless they figure I use the same password everywhere.
