1. I'm sure donations will dwindle...
...but users will likely increase - plus, they'll have more time on their hands.:evilfrown:

6. How to crack a WEP and WPA secured wireless network
http://techzoogle.com/how-to-crack-a-wep-and-wpa-secured-wireless-network/

Heres what I found on that. :hi:

The video shows to how crack WEP and WPA secured wireless networks. It further educates you in preventing hackers from cracking your already secured wireless networks. The main objective is not necessarily to teach people to hack but more so to help you understand the need to take better steps to secure your wireless networks.

For those of you thinking that putting this up may increase the possibility of individuals using it negatively, here are my thoughts on that — the best way to learn and prevent network security vulnerabilities is to know how hackers operate and the loop holes that they target. As Sun Tzu said in his book “The Art of War” … “To know your enemy is half the battle of winning the war”.

Thanks to Brian Young for submitting this. Sorry about the annoying music in between but I believe he included it to cut the monotony of a powerpoint presentation. All information shown is for educational and informational purposes only.

15. My public library has free wi-fi.
I dropped by the other night to return a book (after the library had closed) and there was a woman sitting in her truck by the night book depository using a laptop. Ha. Guess they've got a pretty strong wi-fi signal at that library.

13. doubt it
If you're out of a job, one of the things you can least afford to give up is home communications. A job search without internet access at home would be an order of magnitude more difficult.

16. Well according to some on this site, those people were living above their means and
probably deserve to lose their internet access.

17. I predict the dangerous burdens will be more social than economic.
At times, there almost seems to be groups communicating by IM and swooping into various threads and onto people. It could be a random occurance, but I think this type of organized assault with a minority (as in small group) or personal agenda threatens the DU community far more than economics.
