Donald Westlake dead at 75

A great loss.

Murch was an inspiration to me (not always a memorable character, but always knew where he was going...especially if his mom agreed on the route...).

3. Dortmunder series kept me in stiches for years, I will miss Westlake

A bizarre deja vu moment when I realized, while reading Joe Gores 32 Cadillacs (Dka File Novel) I had read the same scene in a Westlake book, Drowned Hopes. Apparently the authors had a chance meeting on a train in Spain and hatched the plan. I checked both books out of the library and read the chapters side by side - real fun.
