Anderson Cooper on Rachel Maddow
I don't know if anyone caught this but it's classic "the pot calling the kettle black", plus, Anderson Cooper is a total tool.

"Rachel Maddow is an incredible talent -- she's funny, and smart, obviously well researched on subjects. I'm just not interested as a viewer in listening to anchors' opinions. It seems like there's an awful lot of yelling, and this year yelling's been replaced by sarcasm and snarkiness." Anderson Cooper, taking a swipe at Rachel Maddow in an interview by Choire Sicha.

2. Maddow is NOT an "anchor" - she's a commentator
Anderson is just having a hissy fit because nobody is interested in listening to HIS opinions.

Actually he isn't an anchor either - just a dipshit.

3. Is Lou Dobbs supposed to be an anchor?
Talk about snarky and sarcastic. I find Dobbs' "coverage" of immigration issues comes pretty close to hate speech. No veils at all.
But I guess Anderson wouldn't dare criticize his own network.

4. Keith and Rachel
are cleaning up on CNN in the ratings and they can't stand it
Rachel Maddow is smart , well educated funny, and beautiful in a non blond bimbo way.

Anderson was born on third base and thinks he made a homerun (thanks Molly Ivans)

7. Those words about Maddow were also said by arrogant David Frum
Cooper is showing is true bias -- right wing.

Olbermann and Maddow and beating CNN. If MSNBC was as available as Fox News, then they'd be beating Fox too. Not all cable companies carry MSNBC. My brother in Florida does not get MSNBC.

14. Anderson "ON" Rachel: An unpleasant predicament for each of them
Well, for Rachel we know it would be. For Anderson I'd just bet the rent it would.

9. I thought perhaps there was a photo...
and got all excited for nothing. Darn.

He's not a total tool. Maybe a semi-tool. He did report angrily from the streets of New Orleans wearing Prada, you know. He does apparently mistake "reporting well-researched facts" as "anchors' opinions." Unfortunate, Silver Fox.

11. Anderson is not a very good anchor
Edited on Mon Dec-29-08 02:38 PM by ErinBerin84
He is sometimes interesting when they send him off to a far away jungle or market in Thailand, but I hate the "concerned" face he makes when playing anchor. Like, he asks one of the panelists a really obvious question as if he doesn't know the answer, and has a tense look on his face. Plus, AC360 basically is just asking various panelists their opinions, even if they claim to make it "balanced" by throwing in Gergen. And there's generally more yelling on AC360 between panelists (not that people shouldn't yell at Bay Buchanan) than there is on Rachel, because Rachel generally tries to have a conversation with people. And I've seen Anderson take sarcastic "swipes" at people, even though for the most part he is very boring. And does he think Campbell Brown does not try to pull off the little snarky bit.

13. Frankly I can't stand either of them as hosts
Maddow is better than Cooper but not by much. She was much better as an analyst.
