Three Fayetteville (NC) families are going to have a horrible holiday season
This morning, I was on my way to work when some guy blew past me going about 80mph with a state trooper in hot pursuit. The road we were on ends in a T intersection. There's a fairly steep grass-covered slope on the other side of the intersection leading down to a four-lane divided highway with a 55mph speed limit. When I got to the intersection, the trooper's Charger was parked on the side of the road and the trooper was standing in the middle of the intersection. I stopped at the sign. He walked over.

He didn't look too good.

"You're going to 95, right?"

'Yes sir.'

"Turn right when you get to the 301, and don't look left. Please don't look left."

The driver he was chasing ran straight through the intersection, down the hill, onto the 301 and into the path of a semi.

1. Running from the police is damned stupid.
Losing your life, and lives for your passengers, and others on the road for being stupid.

What a waste.
