Channel 4 news in Detroit said that markets in Asia just opened and are plummeting
upon the news of the failure to pass the bridge loan. Nice going, Senator Shelby, DeMint, Corker, McConnell.

4. Contrary to what these silly fuckers think...
letting the big 3 go down will send other car manufacturers down. They ALL share the same suppliers.

When I worked at Ford, while it still had its own parts division, we made bumpers for the Mercedes SUV and glass for Nissan.

12. From what I understand Chapter 11 cost a
lot of money that GM doesn't have. I think Chapter 7 liquidation will be the result.

17. Our local news has said that GM and Chrysler
will file for bankruptcy not long after the failure to pass a bailout. Hopefully Bush will help the automakers out and give them some of the 700 billion (scary that my hopes have to rest on him).

go completely into the tank along with the dollar?

Blowback is a real bummer.

14. How many thousand dealerships does GM have? Just
there you can multiply it by their average number of employees for a small indication of the job loss this will cause. You have the steel industry that will shortly be forced into bankruptcies. You have all the parts suppliers and their employees. You have all the cities and states that depend on the industry for tax revenue.
