What are you looking forward to in the next presidential inauguration?

Here's my list of the things I'm looking forward to:

(1) Watching the whole thing without crying, unless they're happy tears!

(2) Seeing all the happy faces on t.v., even outside the special assigned seating.

(3) Watching Obama's mandate show up and taking up every inch of the parade route - at least six people deep.

(4) Seeing the flag wave along the parade route and know that this time it represents my interests too.

(5) Knowing that this time, no one will be throwing groceries at our president! And not just because we can't afford to waste food!

2. I'm looking foward to **feeling** history. To soaking it in. The breathing it.

We will be on the National Mall. I want to be in that crowd that day. All 2.5 million on the Mall itself and the millions more in town.

And I hate crowds.

It's one thing bitching about Obama, but seeing him actually sworn in...man, I've waited for this for YEARS! :evilgrin:

6. No "Fake Cowboys"

Thank God I don't think we will have any fake cowboys like George "Loser" Bush and Dick (tiny) "Darth" Cheney at these events. This inauguration will be populated with real people who don't review their investment portfolios before going to bed. E-nuf said!!!
