Chimpy-the-torturer will just pardon them and you can bet the "I love felons" repukes would never hold anyone accountable for anything either.

1. Doesn't matter: he can pardon them anyway
Ford pardoned Nixon pre-emptively, so there's a precedent.

5. Nixon covered up a break-in, you think that's precedence for war crimes?
Not to mention conspiracy to commit war, illegal use of propaganda for years, no-fly lists of retaliation, illegal hiring and retaliation, election tampering, covering up whatever really happened on 9-11, illegal wiretapping of millions, embezzlement of billions, energy price gouging entire states like CA and the entire nation, civilian killing and use of mercs, no-bid contracts...etc...

2. And what makes you think
any BushCo employee will be charged after the 20th.

It wouldn't be in the spirit of the bi-partisan tone Obama wants to foster.

Get used to it, you will hear this excuse a lot in the years to come.

Think of the outrage you felt over Lieberman. Now imagine that outrage every day for the next eight years.

3. Like they said, he can pardon them anyway
Nixon had not been charged with any crimes when he was pardoned.

4. I guarantee you Bush is gonna let fly with blanket preemptive pardons...
before he leaves office.

6. Harriet Miers seems to think/interpret that as a legal act
Got any actual information that suggests "preemptive pardons" are legal?

7. I'm not sure that *any* presidential pardons should be considered constitutional
I think the whole concept flies in the face of our supposed principle that we are a nation of laws, not men.
