Democrats would kill the golden goose that put them into power.
Their decision to keep Joe Lieberman in his position is a slap in the face to all the liberals and activists that put Barack Obama and the Democrats into their present positions. All the money they received over the Internet and thru small contributions is taken for granted. They seem to believe it is a permanent advantage for them over the Republicans. Unfortunately, the spigot can be shut off as quickly as it was opened.

And the Democrats are doing their level best, it seems, to shut off that spigot. They owe the base of the Party nothing. The activists will always be there to support them over the Republicans. Now that the election is over, all the supporters can go back to doing what they were doing before. The Democrats will continue to do what they have done for the last few years.

They will continue to exhibit a lack of backbone and foresight. There will be no accountability for the reported crimes of the present Administration. In the spirit of "bi-partisanship", we have too many problems to address to get bogged down into criminal investigations and such. And we thank you for your support.

1. We live in an Empire and this is the logic that ANY working empire requires
if the empire is dealt a lethal blow (and the economy might just do it) then you will see prosecutions and pointing fingers, not a second before

ALL empires have worked this way

And all washington critters are invested in empire

2. We've been disenfranchised.
Obama used us to win and now he's moving in the other direction. I'm no longer represented by either party. They both represent Wall Street and the fat cats.

9. It's a slap in the face of good governance. It isn't even ultimately partisanship.

11. I am going to give them a chance.
I will not forget what the Republicans have done to this country and I will applaud anything the Democrats do to alleviate the situation, however I have no expectations. I have witnessed Democrats in Congress for the last eight years and their performance has been dismal. If the next four years continue along that same line I will just bag it. This is our best chance at really turning America around and if we can't make it happen now, then it ain't gunna happen, and I will resign myself to that fact and just drop out of the participation of it all.. Might even move to a different country as my wife wants.. :shrug; The ball is definitely in the Democrats court so we will see how they do...
