From Kennedy to Obama: Recapturing America’s Greatness
Although I was a kid when JFK was elected, I remembered the euphoria in my home and neighborhood when he was elected.

Now, at least in my home and neighorhood here in Los Angeles, I sense the same euphoria and genuine sense of hope with Obama's election -- much moreso than when Jimmy Carter or Bill Clinton were elected.

I wonder if that overwhelming sense of hope arises because the Bush years -- and really the years going back to Red Reagan -- have been so dreadful for progressives. Or is there a real chance the country will change.
