How fast did the McCain/Palin yard signs disappear from your neighborhood after the election?
I purposely drove past the two houses in this town to see if they were still there early Wednesday morning to check the status of the signs. And they were long gone. Almost like they were never there.

Anyone else notice similar things around them?

Which disappeared BEFORE the election. Grrrr!

2. The one around the block from me is gone
Not sure when they took it down, but I'm sure it was pretty quickly. On the other hand, lots of Obama-Biden signs still up.

5. Even weirder.
Around where I live you'd have never known there was a national election going on at all. The only real evidence of yard signs was county commissioner stuff. Nothing for the governor's race - and absoLUTEly nothing for the presidential one. No bumper stickers either. And we're talking about an area awash in Bush signs in both 2000 and 2004 - with Gore/Kerry signs to a lesser degree. This year? NOTHING.

6. By the evening of 11/5.
I noticed a few missing in the morning, but it was early and was too dark to see most of them.

By 11/5 there was nary a one to be seen in Newton.

They were outnumbered by the Obama signs anyway, about 60/40 or more.

They look real stupid.

I read them as racist commentary.

14. Not fast enough. There are some still up. I've got BoyMidlo on that, though.

Littering and all.

Disclaimer: I live in a community controlled by a community association that has pretty reasonable rules about signage. Election signs need to be down within 72 hours.

all it does is conforms what a repuke ass he is...

The only good thing he has done is he took them down early Nov 5. He might have taken them down when the fireworks went off at 10pm on the forth. ;) :woohoo:

20. I live in one of the most exclusive neighborhoods in the States
Only 58 homesites.

http://www.marinmagazine.com/Marin-Magazine/October-2008/Corinthian-Island/

The closer to the top of the island one got ($20 million-plus houses), the more frequent were McCain/Palin signs.

Wednesday morning, .... poof!, all gone.

Chickenshits.

Tom

It can stay there.

It can slowly decay like McCain.

Not exactly a well off part of the country. I guess these fools haven't felt enough pain to question their judgment. No worries, I'll help them come to grips with reality when they're ready.

31. when my friend and I went to do a victory dance down our Ohio street in 92, our 1st election
we watched an older Bush supporter ripping his Bush/Quayle sign up outta the yard grumbling while we carried our Clinton sign in the night air - it was a moment to remember.

32. Neighbor's 6 x 9 porch sign, still up.
My ten year old walked the dogs with me -- stood in front of their house, and said, "That's a very bad sign!"

The kitchen window was open. Think they heard. Hope they get the message.

Must suck to be them.
