PETE Wentz can thank Vice President-elect Joe Biden for being born. The Fall Out Boy rocker, who's wed to Ashlee Simpson, revealed on his blog how his dad, also named Pete, told him: "Mom and I met in Washington when we were both legislative assistants to Sen. Biden, when he was in his first term <1972-78>. I had worked in his campaign, and your mother had been in the foreign service. We started out as friends and the rest is history." His father, a lawyer, is still active in politics and campaigned for the win ning presidential ticket this year, stumping door-to-door and supervising voting lines in Columbus, Ohio, to make sure they weren't too long. "They are doing better managing turnout this year than in '04, where an estimated 15,000 people gave up because lines were too long," Pete quotes his father as saying.
