Sarah Palin wanted to speak last night - rebuffed!!
with the rest of the grifters.
<snip>
Palin asked to speak along with McCain at his Arizona concession speech Tuesday night, but campaign strategist Steve Schmidt vetoed the request.

One rather bizarre thing I noticed last night is that McCain gave Palin a hug but didn't really even touch his wife at all. Are they always like that?

10. McSame did give his wife a pat, and she returned it but it was definitely a
"oh shit...I'm on national television, better give the c*nt a pat on the back..."

Cindy really should leave him, he's a nasty old man. How could she stay with someone who obviously detests females so much?

Edited on Wed Nov-05-08 07:23 PM by slampoet
....even with the money she is undesirable.

John is the most pleasant bloke she could get and she's lucky to get the old coot.

If Cindy left him she'd never get anything that wasn't above the level of paid gigolo cabana boy.

40. He almost walked right by
Cindy without touching her. He did sort of hug her then, but without using his arms at all. He just leaned into her and let her put her arms gingerly around him for a brief moment. Then they put a significant distance between tem as they stepped forward to face the crowd. As they went off the stage, McCain very, very briefly acknowledged his mother, but Cindy walked right past her without even glancing down at her, much less greeting her or touching her.

When the Obamas were on stage, they were always hugging each other tightly, looking into each other's eyes and touching, and I could read Michelle's lips saying, "I love you" as they hugged. They kept checking in with and being affectionate with their daughters, and when the Bidens and Michelle's family came on stage, they were all very huggy and affectionate. Then, as they left the stage, Michelle and Barack were totally enchanted by Biden's youngest granddaughter. They kept looking down at her and smiling widely, commenting to each other about how adorable she was.

It is obvious to me that there is a lot of genuine love and sweetness there in the Obama/Biden group, but that the McCains are physically uncomfortable in each other's presence and in the presence of others. I was amazed to see Cindy walk right past her mother-in-law as if she were invisible, without even glancing at her.

20. OMG, if this isn't the description of a grifter.... from Newsweek
Edited on Wed Nov-05-08 01:35 PM by OmmmSweetOmmm
NEWSWEEK has also learned that Palin's shopping spree at high-end department stores was more extensive than previously reported. While publicly supporting Palin, McCain's top advisers privately fumed at what they regarded as her outrageous profligacy. One senior aide said that Nicolle Wallace had told Palin to buy three suits for the convention and hire a stylist. But instead, the vice presidential nominee began buying for herself and her family--clothes and accessories from top stores such as Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus. According to two knowledgeable sources, a vast majority of the clothes were bought by a wealthy donor, who was shocked when he got the bill. Palin also used low-level staffers to buy some of the clothes on their credit cards. The McCain campaign found out last week when the aides sought reimbursement. One aide estimated that she spent "tens of thousands" more than the reported $150,000, and that $20,000 to $40,000 went to buy clothes for her husband. Some articles of clothing have apparently been lost. An angry aide characterized the shopping spree as "Wasilla hillbillies looting Neiman Marcus from coast to coast," and said the truth will eventually come out when the Republican Party audits its books.

BTW...this makes m believe more and more that her home in Wasilla fell of the back of a truck!!!!!

27. Good
I'll be so glad to see that poisonous harridan from Wasilla disappear back into the obscurity she so richly deserves. Despite the fact I didn't like his politics much, I have a feeling that John McCain is not an evil man - in fact, I think he may be seriously ill and thus susceptible to the machinations of his handlers. I can't say the same for her: she's Dick Cheney is drag, or at least would like to be.

Sarah should have been wearing the Black Widow Spider costume last night, not Ms. Obama. Michelle, I love you girlfriend, but what were you thinking when you picked out that dress????

I was beginning to wonder if I was the only one bothered by it. Michelle usually picks nice outfits, but that dress was a disaster, and that short little cardigan just made it worse.

The girls looked darling, though.
