8. LA Times has Prop 8 info
Go to the LA Times site, select Prop 8 from the Available Races. Currently 54.6% YES, 45.4% NO. Looks like after 17 years with my partner, I won't be getting married... :-(

10. Don't give up yet.
There's no way this will stand up in court.

The state woul;d have to discriminate against the people who have already been legally married.

That will not happen.

2. Right now it's passing
However, polls just closed a while ago, and votes are going to be rushing in through the night. The city strongholds still have to be counted, like San Diego, Sacramento, San Francisco, and L.A.

5. I think they will need to count
all the absentee ballots, too, for this one...it's going to be close. I heard they expected 40% of the votes to be absentee. But, right now it's winning.
