Questions for Duers in Pennsylvania and Virginia
Edited on Tue Oct-28-08 06:58 PM by louis c
I'm working up in New Hampshire. I'm a Massachusetts resident with strong union roots. I believe there is no way Obama can lose New Hampshire. The tide turned in late September and we should comfortably win this state's 4 electoral votes.

I also believe that this election comes down to Pennsylvania and Virginia. If we win those two states, there is no scenario for McCain to reach 270.

So, my question is, will we carry these two states? Are the polls accurate about a double digit lead in both states?

1. Yes. I've been saying for months that VA will go blue.
The polls are not taking my daughter and her demographic into account. They're all PROBAMA, with the exception of those idiots at Liberty University.

4. don't underestimate the Virginia RedNecks ability to vote against his own interests
there are a LOT of strong McCain supporters who cannot give a reason for it. Racism is alive and well in the commonwealth.
That and some vote machines have flipped votes in Charlottesville (liberal location). I say we all vote, and pay attention - but I am not sure Virginia will go blue - I work with too many repuke fools

3. Metro Richmond Suburbs Have a lot of Obama Presence
The area is still going to go McCain, but not by as much as it went for Bush over Kerry.

The city of Richmond is solid Obama country.

5. Possibly, but as I said upthread, don't underestimate the
college student vote.

These kids are absolutely fired up. And, the colleges are pushing registration as well as rides to the polls.

6. I think Obama will do relatively well in Metro RIchmond
But western Henrico county is tough sledding for Democrats.

BTW, I was at Obama HQ on Marshall St. Saturday and I don't underestimate the college kids. They were out in force.

We will turn this state blue. GOTV is being done better than I've ever seen it done.
