Here are some random comments from a story about poll watching on the front "page" of the Orlando Sentinel this morning. It's a decent story, btw -- talks about how Dem poll watchers vastly outnumber Repubs and all are unpaid volunteers (Repubs are paid a per diem). Also mentions that Dems are largely *helping people vote* while Repubs are largely *challenging as many votes* as they can.

I know I shouldn't do this, but it's like Bill Hicks and the sore tooth -- I can't stop myself. Just ahd to share some random comments from the "Joe 6-packs" of Central Florida (read: racists). This is why the "common people" scare the living hell out of me.

I hope the Obama followers do riot on election day - for whatever reason they want. We have the National Guard coming out in the major areas - so it will give the Country a chance to clear up those welfare rolls in a nice, permanent way. Don't use beanbag riot control - use real bullets.

This is really stupid. Everyone should be checked for id by the volunteers who have appropriate training. Who is qualified to determine who is incompetent or not? To do that one must observe very bizarre behavior or must have the person deemed incompetent by a professional, e.g. psychiatrist. You cannot tell just by looking at someone. That is called discrimination (and worse)!

If anyone (other than the poll worker generating my ballot) had asked me my name, I'd tell them to go to hell.

If I had been given a provisional ballot because of a challenge by one of these losers, there would have been hell to pay.
