Does anyone really believe it was just a coincidence, or mental illness, that Ashley Todd decided to describe her attacker as "a dark-skinned black man, 6 feet 4 inches tall, 200 pounds?"

I believe it was an act of hate. Pure and simple.

She choose that description to stir up fear and hate - the poor little white girl attacked and beaten up by the big bad scary black man.

An extreme need for acceptance and attention probably drove her to do this. That could be construed as a mental health issue. She's from West Texas, where there is a fair amount more racism than there is in Pittsburgh. She probably never really considered her own racism before. I bet she will now.

I only feel sorry for her insofar as she is still very young, and still a product of where and with whom she grew up. Many people surpass that shit, without the attention she's gotten and is going to continue to get for this.

I hope she makes something positive out of it. I hope she understands what a better President Obama will be for her.
