Barbara Boxer's email for Al Franken.

I just got back from campaigning for Al Franken in Minnesota last week, and I can tell you that the enthusiasm for Al on the ground there is tremendous. Winning in Minnesota is critically important if we're going to reach our goal of 60 Democratic seats in the U.S. Senate -- and Al is poised to do just that.

Al Franken is currently locked up in a tight race with incumbent Republican Senator Norm Coleman who for the past six years has been yet another George Bush clone, voting with the President 83% of the time -- but now Al has the momentum.

The latest poll numbers show Al Franken climbing back from being behind and surging into the lead. Now let's give Al a big boost over these final two weeks and help him win on Election Day!

Contribute to Al Franken's Senate campaign now -- and help him pick up another Democratic seat on Election Day!

You probably remember Al Franken best from TV or as a host on Air America Radio. But since he announced his candidacy for the U.S. Senate in Minnesota last year, Al has also become a tremendous candidate, running a powerful, grassroots campaign that is focusing on the serious challenges facing our nation and getting his message out to hundreds of thousands of voters.

Working with the Obama campaign and Democrats all across the state, Al is building the largest get-out-the-vote operation Minnesota has ever seen -- and I saw that first-hand last week. Al would be a strong progressive voice in the U.S. Senate, fighting alongside me to invest in renewable energy sources, fix our broken health care system, and bring our troops home from Iraq.

Norm Coleman, on the other hand, has staunchly supported President Bush's disastrous right-wing policies: going to war in Iraq, advocating for privatizing Social Security, and opposing a woman's right to choose. And as Al Franken knows, that's no laughing matter!

Now, with just 12 days until Election Day, Al Franken needs your help to win.

With your help, we can send Al Franken to the U.S. Senate and gain a filibuster-proof majority on November 4th. Contribute to Al Franken's campaign today!

For months, the pundits scoffed at our efforts to reach a 60-vote majority in the U.S. Senate. Well, with your help -- and with Al Franken's -- we'll get there.

Let's dig deep, pull out all the stops, and help Al win on Election Day.

In Friendship,

Barbara Boxer
U.S. Senator
