LA Times - NO on 8 ahead 52-44 - gap narrowing however...
Edited on Thu Oct-23-08 09:12 AM by msongs
front page article today (Thursday) poll by Public Policy Institute shows prop 8 losing by 52 - 44. Previous polls showing it ahead were by partisan pollsters it claims. Huge turn out of younger voters accounts for difference. anti - 8 ads just now starting in force vs lots of pro 8 ads up til now.

of course the gold standard in CA is the Field poll which has not been released recently.

all is NOT lost evidently.

no link, just reading the actual paper.

6. 11's a joke too...wants to stack redistricting boards with R's
prop 10-wolf in sheeps clothing prop that gives t boone pickens 200 million tax dollars so that he can monopolize natural gas in California, and gouge us on the price later at his convienience.

prop 11-Stacking redistricting boards with repugs. The vast majority of the money donated to this campaign has come from GOP donors....go figure.

5. Doesn't it need 2/3 s to pass since it's an amendment not a law?

8. It needed 2/3's from each state legislative house to put it in front of the voters
majority passes it now.

10. That's right...I forgot that the lawsuit to the state supreme court failed in June.
And that the fuckers did not announce a reason for their decision....my bad.

7. Are there ever polls that don't narrow? Or are they just not worth reporting?
I guess the media really does love a horse-race...
