I think it only says that they have agreed to divorce. It's not a big surprise if you think about it. There were always rumors that she would kick him to the curve once he was no longer President.

If you believe the rumours

- his dad doesn't talk to him.
- he's drinking again
-Laura and him have been living seperate lives for a while. I don't personally think they'd ever officially divorce, but they're probably headed for a lifetime of a marriage in name only.

Personally, I think him and his dad probably estranged (they do have a notoriously difficult relationship) and Bush the elder can't be happy with the cock up Jr has made of things. The drinking wouldn't surprise me. I don't have a clue about the state of their marriage. And we'll probably never know, since Laura's not the type to do a weepy television where she calls out George. Whatever else you think of her, she is discreet.

So, yeah, George's life is a bit of a mess.
