Remember 2006? Gas prices dropped as oil company friends of the GOP
tried to manipulate the election. Remember Bush took credit for the drop. Remember what happened the day after election day?

The prices spiked, on average, ten cents a gallon.

Prices are dropping just in time for election day. I bet you the pig CEOs at the oil companies will spike their prices after election day.

At $80 a gallon, prices should be between $2.00 and $2.25 a gallon, as they were when oil prices were that before. It's $2.99 as a national average, 19 cents more than a year ago.

Those who think the gas prices are good or right need to understand something: YOU'RE BEING MANIPULATED AGAIN!!!

1. Im right with ya Suji ...
Though you will find DUers who will argue that prices normally fall this time of year .... But I agree with you: They DO manipulate prices to gain electoral advantage (if they can)

For instance: During Katrina, oil spiked mightily, with gasoline also jumping by leaps and bounds ... Yet with Ike, in nearly the same region and the same conditions: Barely a blip on the price of gas ....

It has always been this way since the 70's, when they learned they can foist high prices on the public, and the public wont complain .. much ....

2. I think it's a scam too.
They try every way in the world to buy or steal every vote they can.

4. The more things change...
Reminds me of that scene in Gladiator when the emperor started giving out free bread to citizens to stall a revolt.

5. I've noticed they drop the prices every time.
It should get the average American wondering why they can't afford to keep the prices lower than sky-high most of the time. Should, but probably won't.
