She didn't make an ass of herself, but she just had to deliver memorized lines, which is the one thing she's proven capable of doing.

And, maybe this is just nit-picking, but her "live from" was so bland--I swear, she's definitely never seen a single episode of the show to learn of how exciting it's supposed to be. She was just reading a phrase on a teleprompter, totally devoid of any conception of the meaning of the words. So, a typical Palin delivery.
