Does anyone know how many states have Questioned/Provisional balloting?
Or how many do not. I know the state I live in, no one can be denied the right to vote. If they are not on the voter's registration list they have to use a questionable ballot but they still get to vote. I keep hearing that many states don't allow this. That just doesn't seem right to me. It should be up to the State to prove whether a person is who they say they are or not and not up to the individual. Everyone should be allowed to cast a ballot and as those Provisional ballots are examined it can be determined whether the person is eligible or not.. they should not just be automatically disqualified from voting because of a possible clerical error.
