Will somebody please fix that fucking beeping in the MSNBC studio?

It's in the studio Rachel every night and used throughout the day as well. There's a constant "be-deep be-deep" going on. When Rachel's show debuted, my wife and I ran around the house looking for the smoke detector that needed a new battery.

And if you can't keep whatever it is that's beeping from beeping, wire a mic up 180 degrees out of phase, put it to the beeping thingy, and mix it into the main audio. It'll cancel out the beeping. If I know this, surely there's an audio technician there who does.

the program news writers use to compose the script for tonight's news program has a bunch of familiar
sound cues. The "Bulletin" (SQWAAWK!) is the most annoying, but it also beeps softly every time there's a new entry on the news wires. Which is very frequently. CNN leaves it on all the time and you can hear it beeping away in the background, since the set is a working newsroom.
