palin wanted to secede from the union & she calls liberals traitors?
They just showed a video made by sarah palin this year addressing the Alaska Independence Party, AIP, and saying 'God bless you' for their convention.

Does it strike you as slightly LESS than patriotic for the governor of one of our UNITED states to want her whole state UN united from the union? And she calls US traitors.

Apparently many members of this movement in Alaska are in the 'end of the world cause the bible prophecies it crowd', and many of them believe Jesus is coming back to.....Alaska of course, to hasten the end of times, not only seceding from our united states, but from this awful, secular world, as in the rapture.

Apparently too mccain's representatives were not at all amused at cnn running this video of palin addressing the AIP THIS year, but hey, every day we learn more about this shrill, shrieking harpy of a possible v.p., and it ain't funny.

You can't hide the truth forever mr. mccain.

5. The Palins' Secessionist Group Was SUPPORTED By Iran!!!
from Oct. 6th post here on DU. Full of info that, if known widely would finish both of them off in miliseconds!
Read it here:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=132&topic_id=7348769

Here's the snip from the article:

AIP chairwoman Lynette Clark told me recently that Sarah Palin is her kind of gal. "She's Alaskan to the bone ... she sounds just like Joe Vogler."

So who are these America-haters that the Palins are pallin' around with?

Before his strange murder in 1993, party founder Vogler preached armed insurrection against the United States of America. Vogler, who always carried a Magnum with him, was fond of saying, "When the bureaucrats come after me, I suggest they wear red coats. They make better targets. In the federal government are the biggest liars in the United States, and I hate them with a passion. They think they own . There comes a time when people will choose to die with honor rather than live with dishonor. That time may be coming here. Our goal is ultimate independence by peaceful means under a minimal government fully responsive to the people. I hope we don't have to take human life, but if they go on tramping on our property rights, look out, we're ready to die."

Vogler's greatest moment of glory was to be his 1993 appearance before the United Nations to denounce United States "tyranny" before the entire world and to demand Alaska's freedom. The Alaska secessionist had persuaded the government of Iran to sponsor his anti-American harangue.

That's right ... Iran. The Islamic dictatorship. The taker of American hostages. The rogue nation that McCain and Palin have excoriated Obama for suggesting we diplomatically engage. That Iran.

10. On a call in show, someone should ask them why they support terrorists and don't report this!
Which in effect is WHAT THEY ARE DOING when they don't report the Iran connection to the Palins. They are in effect HIDING her terrorist connections, making them just as liable according to Bushco's law to be sent to Guantanamo themselves!

6. Don't you get it? A Republican can do or say anything they want.
None of it will ever be labeled terrorism, un-american or un-patriotic, because they are the "party of patriotism".

8. Maybe they'll interview her John Bircher buddy and then the whole white supremacy
Edited on Tue Oct-14-08 03:58 PM by sfexpat2000
part of this gets outed.

I'm convinced that's why she was chosen. Why else go to the Great White North for a running mate?

Sarah Palin is as anti-American as you can get.

You liberals are always quoting the god-loving/fearing conservatives out-of-context.

13. Uh, it was a joke based upon word play.
The idea was that "succeed" sounds similar to "secede" yet it has a completely different meaning.

Thanks for playing.

11. What to do with AIP members?
Exile them?

If they hate their country so much, they can leave. Many countries would just put them in front of a firing squad and be done with them.

15. no, let them have Alaska
hell, what would they do with it once they got it? You have how many sections, the very north, Pt. Barrow, and the ANWAR, also the Prudhoe Bay oil supplies, then you have the Nome area, who really wants to live there? Then Fairbanks, home of Ft. Greely and some airforce base, the only reason a town is there at all is because of the military dollar, on to Anchorage, a great little city, home of FT. Richardson and Elmendorf AFB, the city probably wouldnt' be there except for the military dollar. Let's go to Homer, home of the fishing fleet, not much to do, not much to see, then Ketchikan, same, Juneau, the capital and their largest prison. Of course there is some great scenery and some outstanding hunting, but without the United States military dollar and tourism, there is nothing.

You can tell me otherwise and I'll be glad to read it, but my feelings are encapsulated above.

Peace
