Since when is the ACLU a communist organization? That's what
Buchanan just said! I remember my mother telling me, MANY YEARS AGO, that the little guy had a lot to thank the ACLU for!

(Tweety was telling Pat that the Pubs do this kind of hate attack on every Dem candidate. Then he referred to their accusation of Dukakis "Are you a card carrying member of the ACLU?" Then Pat said the ACLU is a communist organization!)

1. The guilt by association goes back to the Thirties when the ACLU and
the Communist Party and the NAACP teamed up to defend the Scottsboro Boys.

4. Rush Limbaugh benefited from the ACLU.
I really want to know what the Repukes have against defending civil liberties.

Buchanan is dangerously close to being locked in a padded cell. He's really losing it.

6. I always wondered why the right and O'reilly hates the ACLU

They stand up for human and civil rights and they're non-partisan. Look at Rush for that example.

8. ACLU is communist? sure, if we can agree that Republicans are Nazis
I can agree to that. Call the ACLU whatever you want, call me whatever you want, I don't give a fuck because the ACLU is the only organization that remembers the principles this country was founded on. Here's my card, want to string me up? Go ahead and try.

tsk tsk tsk...Actually, I'm a card carrying member of ACLU and am proud of it. It's looking like we may have to use more and more of their services if these violence inciting republicans don't calm down. They scare me.

10. There were communists involved in its founding. So what?
Nothing wrong in that at all. MLK had communist associates too. They were in the forefront of the civil rights struggle and have played an important, positive role in this country.

11. Since the First Amendment is a Communist document
In reality, the right wing hates the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
