Need help with reply to this email
I AM SICK OF THESE EMAILS! I USUALLY JUST TRASH THEM AND NEVER REPLY, BUT THE TIME HAS COME FOR ME TO LET ALL OF MY REPUBLICAN FRIENDS AND RELATIVES KNOW THAT I DO NOT AGREE WITH THEM! (I'm not yelling.......)

Top 10 Poorest Cities

What do the top ten cities with the highest poverty rate all have in common?

Detroit, MI (1st on the poverty rate list) hasn't elected a Republican mayor since 1961;
Buffalo, NY (2nd) hasn't elected a Republican mayor since 1954;
Cincinnati, OH (3rd) hasn't elected a Republican mayor since 1984;
Cleveland, OH (4th) hasn't elected a Republican mayor since 1989;
Miami, FL (5th) has never had a Republican mayor;
St. Louis, MO (6th) hasn't elected a Republican mayor since 1949;
El Paso, TX (7th) has never had a Republican mayor;
Milwaukee, WI (8th) hasn't elected a Republican mayor since 1908;
Philadelphia, PA (9th) hasn't elected a Republican mayor since 1952;
Newark, NJ (10th) hasn't elected a Republican mayor since 1907.
Pittsburgh, PA (11) ... No Republican held ANY office in Pittsburgh for 65 years until two were elected in 1995.

Einstein once said, 'The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.'

It is the disadvantaged (define that however you will) who habitually elect Democrats --- yet they are still disadvantaged after all these years! Imagine that.

1. How about the companies that were there
got their jobs offshored beginning under Reagan?

2. It's called racist white flight...
Because of centuries of racism in this country, whites have a lot more wealth than blacks and hispanics.

When wealthy whites flee for the suburbs, THEY cause the poverty rate to go up - not the politicians who are left to run the city.

If Republicans are SO concerned about impoverished cities they ought to move out of their gated country club estates and BACK into the cities they deserted decades ago.

Any questions?

3. How about all these cities used to be manufacturing towns
they are now service or nothing...Milwaukee is just shopping centers and brewerys anymore...every single one of them used to have a thriving middle class when there was manufacturing jobs...

4. Democrats govern better
Most of those cities were big in manufacturing. They have the republicans to thank for their economic problems. Bush has spent more money than all presidential candidates in history. Every study done proves democratic presidents govern the country better and are more fiscally conservative. The tax and spend liberal is another republican lie.
