He essentially suggested we need to make the tax cuts permanent. He said we should have "faith" that the economy will recover (leadership matters not, the free market will solve our problems) and so on.

2. He didn't think he needed BombBomb's election for his legacy ...

but now perhaps that's all he has left. We haven't "won"
the GWOT, the economy is in the toilet ... All he has left
to point to as "success" is getting his party's nominee to
succeed him (and to avoid all those nasty investigations).

The fact BombBomb is willing to let RatBastard (with his
dismal approval ratings) appear on his behalf shows how
desperate BombBomb is, too ... but it makes sense if he's
running a fear-based, totally negative campaign (why not
get someone who's done that pretty well to help you
out?).

and considering that this crisis happened on his watch. I think having him endorse McCain can only help Obama's poll numbers.

If there was only some way we could get Cheney to campaign for McCain too.
