To paraphrase Michelle Obama: For the first time in my adult life I am Really Proud of my state
Edited on Sun Oct-05-08 11:40 AM by Motown_Johnny
Since the McCalin/Pain campaign had to pull out of Michigan I feel much better about my state.

He spent lots of time and money here. Touring a nuclear power plant and auto factories (one of which broke out in an Obama chant). He also held any number of events here. So many I stopped trying to keep track. He spent lots of money here on ads and mailings and still he needed to give up with over a month to go.

The news of him giving up here also seems to have contributed to the narrative that he is getting desperate. The electoral map now looks much better with Michigan out of the battleground category.

Today I am proud to be living in Michigan. I hope we contributed to the inevitable defeat of McCalin/Pain.
