...... you'd see a very disappointed id. Johnny was the fuckup in his family. His Dad and _ramps were both seriously accomplished. To_ether, they became the only family in American history to have two 4-Star officers.

Johnny was at the bottom of his class at Annapolis.

And he wanted so much more.

He sees himself for what he is. An old man in ill health.

He never could live up to his family's standards. And it wasn't just his Dad and _rand Dad. It was _enerations of McCains. He wrote a book about his family, hopin_ that by tellin_ the country about them, he would shine more bri_htly in their _lory.

But that was a false hope. And he knows it. He knows that he crashed too many airplanes to ever even hope for a fla_ of his own, a lifetime spent in the Navy notwithstandin_. He wears his POW status like a bri_htly colored, blinkin_ billboard, even as his fellow POWs are quietly di_nified, secure in knowin_ what they endured and how it honors them.

He so very much wanted to best his Pop and _ranpop. And the only way he sees doin_ that now is by bein_ president. He doesn't want to lead, really. He just wants to _et there.

And he knows he never will.

He knows its over.

Out of Michi_an today.

The youn_ black -uy climbin_ in the polls on a daily basis. Even in states in which Johnny shouldn't have to campai_n. But there's the kid.

Sad.

But inevitable.

And Johnny knows it. You *know* he knows it.

That sums it up for me. It's an ego thing for him, nothing more, nothing less. And what's really sad about it, is he hoped to get his gratification at the expense of his country. "Country First" indeed.

6. Was just laying down taking a nap. Tweety on the television and I go into dremaland

I dreamed that McCain was at my house. He was going through my bedroom, snooping under the bed and going through my closet. As I walked into my room, it appeared that he was sniffing my shoes. I told him I hoped he found what he was looking for and proceeded to change my pants. Then I went out into my living room and my sister had the girls scouts there with cake in anticipation of Cindy's birthday. I told her to take it outside to John and Cindy cause they weren't coming back into my house. Weird dream. I guess that will teach me to sleep with the news on?
