2. They'll probably rework the bill AGAIN, giving even more concessions to the Republicans
It will start to resemble the blank check again, and the Dems will vote for it just to pass something. Then the Dems will be blamed for it.

4. New negotiations and either a new bill or amendments to the old one.
I still think they'll do something. It's interesting though that several House members (nobody has said how many) live on the west coast and MUST leave now to go home for Ramadan. I wonder how many there are and which Party they're in?

6. Congress comes up with an acceptable bill...
without any input from Bush or Sec. Paulsen. A bill that won't have Wall Street players in the room giving their input this time. A bill that punishes the fuckers who recklessly gambled. The Bailout should only be for those banks and mortgage companies that made sound decisions, for the most part. It should secure pensions and 401k's, not the portfolios of high stakes players in the market. There should also be a stimulous package for the very people asked to take on the tax burden that directly coincides with the bailout.

7. A Depression that makes that thing in the '30s look cuddly
Seriously, the Great Depression will be considered good times compared to what we're about to go through.

Millions will die.

Famine.

Yep, good times for all.

9. Congress works on rewriting the bill; Millions of Americans don't get paid this week.
Considering their companies can't get a loan to make payroll.

That's what happens this week. Next week? I don't know.

19. That the people who owe them haven't paid them yet.
And not much more.

That's how business is done in this country. Even financially sound businesses routinely find themselves in this position.

That's why credit is so important to our economy.
