4. When that reporter asked McIDIOT about Europe and he heard "You(something)"
and replied, "What about me what?" in a rather testy voice, I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. I don't remember the M$M pointing out that part of his lunacy at all...WTF???

I did love that line! Obama kicked him to the curb on that one.

6. That may have been a bit of a dog whistle
As much as the Republican use coded speech for racism, this could very well have been Obama implying that McCain is just not quite mentally here any more.

The difference - racism is completely unacceptable in any context. Possible mental infirmities, however, should be legitimate issues in a national election.

So, therefore, the correct response is "Woo-hoo Obama - nice hit!"

21. In a way, yes. I think mostly it was bait. It's a pity that McCain didn't really bite.
his possible answers: a) backpedal. "oops. I forgot that all those hispanic sounding names aren't all latin american despots".
b) bluster "uh... well spain, home of generalissimo Fransisco Franco (who is still dead, btw) has a track record of icky-ness"

William Randolph Hearst told him personally that Spain did it, and despite studies, now 30 years old, that suggested that a coal dust explosion could have been responsible, McCain believes the Perfidious Spaniard theory to this day.

It would have been another chance to bring it back to Afghanistan. But that was my favorite moment in the debate and I loved that the split screen showed McW mouthing, twice, "horseshit"

38. North Koreans are shorter...
The North Koreans are three inches shorter than South Koreans. McCain argued this in support of his argument that we shouldn't have talks with the North Koreans.

Incidentally, John McCain is several inches shorter than Barrack Obama. Should they have even debated?

44. I Wish McCain HAD Tried to Rebut it
McCain was obviously confused by the original question and thought Zapatero was a hostile Latin American dictator or rebel leader.

But he couldn't admit being confused about such a basic fact. So his campaign "confirmed" he was talking about Spain.

It makes him fair game. He can only deny it by looking at an idiot whose campaign was trying to cover for him.
