WTF has to happen before someone takes on this SOB
Rove and puts his sorry butt in prison? I mean, really, what does he have to do next? BBQ and cannabalize babies in the Rose Garden? I don't get why this *#@#$#@$# is so untouchable...or his boss for that matter.

1. Rove has long been protected and reared by Poppy himself. There is nothing we can do.

8. Poppy fired Rove from his campaign. No love lost between the 2.
Rove OWNS jr. though.

20. Kerry called for Rove's firing after Plame outing revelations, but too many Dems
in office would NOT back up that call.

Same thing happened when Kerry called for Rumsfeld's job after Abu Ghraib and again in 2004 - but, the bigname Dems were sticking closer to Bush on Iraq throughout that election, and would not back Kerry up when he attacked Bush or Rumsfeld.

26. Even if he did that
Even if he BBQ'd and cannibalized babies in the Rose Garden, dontcha know it's the fault of Roe v. Wade for undermining the sanctity of life?????? Once we legalized abortion, it was merely a slippery slope to barbecuing and cannibalizing babies!

5. He's got dirt on everybody -
It's the old J. Edgar Hoover style - rat me out, and I'll send these photos of you and whatever to the press. There's really no other explanation. It's what kept Hoover in power until his death, as corrupt as he was.

25. What's it going to take for somebody to just scorch the earth...
take everybody out in one fell swoop. If there's dirt on everybody, then take everybody down. Go out in a blaze of glory.

7. I have given up
any hope that any of them will ever be held accountable. Really, the big guys never are and that just fosters the idea that the big guys can do whatever they want. This is the result. I will keep on with what I am doing but I have little hope for this country anymore. Sad. I thought we had a chance after November, turns out that was a false hope too.

9. Yes, this is how Clinton damaged the US. Letting Iran/Contra & BCCI go without
thoroughly dredging the pond. And why Hillary must NOT become POTUS.

22. I agree with you
but it has been going on much longer than the Clinton years. These guys have been doing this and getting away with it since at least the Nixon years.

There are many reasons I can not support Hillary, even though I would dearly love to see a woman president. I do not know if she would do the same though but I have little confidence she would not.

11. You know, I said to my husband last night, as we were watching
KO,"Two years ago we would be outraged at this...now it's almost as if we're becoming desensitized to the crimes of this administration, and that scares the hell out of me."

21. We do that too.
I never thought there could be so much inaction against criminals. It stuns me. We are certainly ready to put people away for having a joint in their car but demolish our economy, our constitution, kill hundreds of thousands of people and stuff their own pockets all the while? Nope, it would damage us all, all us poor people who have no clue what is happening. They all hold us with such contempt and it just makes me so angry that I just can't hold out any hope it will ever change anymore.

Onward we go, why seems to mean little anymore but we still push on.

16. I did not say
I would give up fighting, I just give up the notion that anyone of the elites in power will ever hold any one of the elites accountable.

I could not give up the fight, it isn't in me to lay down but I have little confidence in any of them anymore, it is just too easy for them to say that they either don't have the time to impeach or that it would damage the American people to drag them along that road again. I say bull to that, what damages the American people is that they are willing to let it all go rather than take the risk involved in doing what should and needs to be done. I think just about every American would be fine with holding a criminal to account, we certainly seem bloodthirsty enough for a little (or a lot) of jail time don't you think?

There is no excuse for this, none. I am fed up with the lot of them, well with a few and only a few exceptions.

they got way too arrogant and power hungry, something that the puppet masters find very distasteful, and Rove has made many enemies all around, and not just Democrats. I would wager that there are more than a few very powerful Republicans who would love to see him go down. Trent Lott comes to mind, as does John McCain.

23. The WH has been nearly invulnerable, when it counts, for six years. Not
much has changed since November. The little guys will continue to fall on their swords so that the machine can continue running. There will be hearings...some heads will roll...some legislation will pass to take the edge off and it's certainly better than nothing. But on the big issues...not much has changed.

B*sh's legacy has taken a turn for the worse, but when trillions of dollars are on the line and your best corporate buddies love you, this is a small sacrifice.

The neocons had checkmate many moves ago....right after 2000 election, in fact, and we've just been playing out the game to the last.

Sorry...bad mood this morning.

By the way...we're seeing a continuation of the dem strategy of the last six years...When faced with a hot issue, you'll see one or two dems take the lead and be very vocal on the opposition/progressive side -- but you'll notice that many or most of the other dems will be silent and will actually take a very moderate stance in public and in voting. Look for some dems to pillory Rove in the press and at hearings but also look for an absence of real action or results. They win, we lose.
