Rasmussen: People HATE the bailout plan
Tuesday, September 23, 2008

The more voters learn about the proposed $700 billion federal bailout plan for the U.S. economy, the more they don’t like it, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey taken Monday night.

Now 44% oppose the taxpayer-backed plan, up seven points from 37% yesterday. Twenty-five percent (25%) support it now, versus 28% in the earlier poll. Thirty-five percent (35%) were undecided before; now 31% are (demographic crosstabs available for Premium Members).

>>People hate the bailout. I'm very surprises that people are paying enough attention. This is really rattling the voters.

5. The more people learn about it...
...and think about the ramifications of this--the more they hate it.

That's why there is such a "We must do this now!" attitude.

They know that if the American people have more than a week to think about this,
the more the public will turn against them.

It's up to us. We stopped the Dubai ports deal. We can stop this.

6. When people started hearing
$3,000 per very person and child in the US...it put a sort of easy to understand human grasp on it rather than throwing around billions and trillions of dollars.
