When Bush claimed Iraq had wmd, congress caved and gave him complete authority to do what he wanted. We have seen the result of that. Billions of billions of dollars are now unable to be accounted for in the Iraq war.

If congress caves into giving the Bush administration a free hand in this banking disaster, expect more of the same. This administration can't tie it's shoes, we should learn our lessons here, if not, the same mistakes are going to be repeated.

If this bail out goes through, there absolutely has to be stringent over sight and conditions placed on it. If not, you are throwing money down the drain. You know it's true.
