My letter sent to both Senators and Congressman

Sent the following to Senators Webb and Warner and Congressman Cantor (yes, feel sorry for me!)

This email is to express my concern over the massive bailout of the financial industry and to ask you to insist on adding regulations and restrictions as part of the package. To give hundreds of billions of dollars with "no strings attached" is nothing more than highway robbery. The finance industry has shown that they cannot and do not regulate themselves. We need the government to police this industry because it causes such an impact on every citizen's life.

Also, none of the taxpayer's money should be allowed to be used for bonuses or so-called "golden parachutes". These people have FAILED - they are proverbial beggars on the street right now. For most of us bonuses are something we earn by doing a stellar job - something greater than our day to day normal duties. Running a company so poorly that the government has to bail it out is not a "stellar job". It also is not right to spend taxpayer money so that a CEO can walk away with millions of dollars.

Congress needs to be cautious and careful when putting together the bailout package. Please don't panic and give the money without asking for supervision at the least. If this were a parent and a teenager, the parent would set limits before giving the child the credit card. Congress should do no less and, I hope, will do more to rein in the so-called "masters of the universe".

my do-nothing congressman an ass who couldn't find his head from his behind, and told that DINO Nelson, if he couldn't lead, get the Fuck out of the way so that someone who knew how to represent the great state of Florida could do something for Florida.. One of them, I think Martinez, I told that 3%more unemployment in this state would see him running for the hills.. people will show up with pitchforks and shopping carts begging for food and shelter...

If we are going to buy these bad mortgages, I say, we just solved our homeless issues..

3. Just used your letter as a template for my own

to Senators Murray and Campbell as well as Congressman McDermott. I hope that they're receiving a lot of email over this one. I think that this is an issue that can bite the right wing hacks in the ass, because it's clearly a class issue, and can really unite the working class, be they liberal or conservative against the true "elitists"
