I'm in Madison, Wisconsin- right after Ike there was not enough fuel and the price was up to $4, now its back down to $3.65 and available.

6. I saw a report on the evening news
that smaller stations were out because of less coming from refineries and they could not afford the higher price like the bigger companies could by buying in bulk.

7. Wausau WI went from 3.99 to 3.79
We have one guy that supplies most of the stations with gas, and he's a greedy republican so our prices are always higher then the surrounding areas

8. Here in central NM, the price peaked at $3.69 (from $3.45)
and is back down to $3.48.

Refineries weren't badly damaged, had stockpiled in case of a bad hurricane, and the loss of 10 rigs in the Gulf wasn't as bad as had been predicted.

16. My nearest gas station (an independent) had gas Thursday,
even the gas station where they can't charge more than #3.99 is selling gas again, and its cost has come down to 3.93. They still aren't selling super unleaded (more than #3.99)

Lowest I've seen is $3.83. Highest is $4.19

Greensboro, NC.
