What banks are the most stable?

I'm seriously considering pulling what little money I have out of WaMu. I know that this will only add to their problems, but at this point I don't think I really care. When you live paycheck to paycheck like I do, every little bit helps, and I don't want to take a chance of having to wait for the FDIC to come through. What banks are currently the most stable and likely to survive this crisis?

1. someone posted a site awhile back with the worst and I think it rated all banks

I have my money in a credit union

so far have not heard of any of them being in trouble, might want to look into one in your area

3. Jim Cramer said this morning JP Morgan/Chase is the best

He thinks Morgan/Chase will continue to be stable. He also said that regional banks are doing very well. Don't know where you are located, but here Regions Financial is considered a regional bank (LA,AR and TX).

4. bankrate.com has a good ratings tool

but I do not think any of them are going to be stable for much longer.
However, as a place to put money, use the tool.
Most importantly, make the transfer now.

6. I'm thinkof pulling my money from US Bank...

(what little of it I have) and putting it into a credit union at School. I like the idea of it having a more local home and I'm getting leary of big banks anymore. Plus US Bank's customer service sucks.

8. There is a bank screener on The Street.

Just go to their site and put in "bank and thrift screener" or put it into google and you will find it. I would give the link directly to it by I'm on an Apple now and it won't run the program but it works on IE and I think Firefox. Bankrate seems to rate them higher than this one.

what value will physical cash have when the zeros on a screen slowly fade. Alot.
