I think we can pull it out

Interactive Real Clear Politics Electoral Map

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/maps/obama_vs_mccain/

They have Obama 217, McCain 216, toss-up 105, but they have New Hampshire, Pennsylvania,Michigan, Colorado, and New Mexico as toss-up.

Nearly all polls in all these states have Obama leading slightly since September, so I think that will be the final result. That will give Obama 273 EV, which is enough to win.

1. That's the "winning without OH" scenario, right? nt

2. Yes!

The win without OH or FL scenario. It may be the most viable and/or likely - - although I still think that Ohio, Virginia, or both (and maybe even Florida) will become much bluer, and maybe even flip, by Election Day. There's Nevada, too - - not to be discounted.

I should add that if the election were held today, I think Obama would win the 273 we're discussing.

that even now, when Obama is at his lowest point in this campaign, the Electoral math just doesn't work for McPODubya.

5. Except that the latest polling shows McCaine has pulled slightly
ahead in New Mexico. But yes, even despite his recent reverses, Obama still has an edge in a majority of the "tossup" states.
